Phillip Edward Linton

Phillip Edward Linton, 62, of Houston, Texas passed away on September 8, 2018, in Houston, Texas.

Phillip Edward Linton was born in Warren, Ohio, to Marion and Herbert Linton on December 10, 1955. He graduated from Warren Western Reserve High School, and from Bethany College in West Virginia. He married Marla Edlara on June 19, 2010, in Rockport, Texas.

He was a consummate sales professional working in the banking and credit industries for the past 40 years. He was a lifelong fitness fanatic who loved running, the band, the Eagles, and his beloved The Ohio State University football team (Buckeyes), and his bird, Picasso.

Phil is preceded in death by Herb and Marion Linton (parents) and Tom Linton (brother).

Phil is survived by Marla Linton (wife), Chantal and Carolyn Moclair (step-daughters) of Melbourne, Australia, Linda and Skip Nance (sister & brother-in-law) of Cortland, Ohio, Rich Nance of Indianapolis, Indiana (nephew), Jackson and Keely Nance (great-nephew & niece), Chad, Jennifer, Logan & Owen Nance (nephew, wife, & great-nephews) of Parma, Ohio, Kristen and Matthew Frazier (niece) of Colorado, and Weston Frazier (great-nephew), and many other friends and family who lovingly called him "Uncle Phil".

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 14, 2018, at Memorial Park, in Houston, Texas. A reception in celebration of Phil's life will immediately follow at the family home.

Memorials may be given to the United States Veterans Association (or a veteran's charity of your choice) on behalf of Phil Linton, as this was one of his favorite charities to support our men and women in uniform, then and now.

The Linton family wishes to extend its sincere thanks to the EMT's, ER doctors and nurses at Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Texas Medical Center, who worked selflessly to revive Phil and prayed and honored him at his passing.
