In loving memory of

Bonnie Ray Murray
December 11, 1946 - March 30, 2019

Bonnie Ray Murray

Bonnie Ray Murray left this world more peacefully and certainly quieter than she lived it.  Her rapier wit, often biting tongue and very firm opinions reflected the strong, independent person she was all her life.  At the same time, she had a great heart and was very generous and giving.  She cared about people and animals who needed a helping hand.  And, more than anything, her sense of humor was amazingly fast and funny.  Friends noted that she was no doubt already explaining to God all the things that need to be fixed back here on Earth.  There were many things she noted were "stupid, just stupid."  And, "why do THEY let that happen?!"

A nearly life-long Houston resident, Bonnie, 72, passed away March 30 after a long bout with COPD.  She loved a good pun and play on words and was the master at finding an amazing number of perfect memes for any occasion.  She was a property management professional, managing multiple residential, townhome and corporate housing developments.  She was for years the property manager at Galleria Townhomes and later owned On-Site Systems, Inc.

She lived for more than 40 years in the Ashford Forest community, maintaining strong ties there even after moving to Sugar Land in 2015.

Bonnie was in the first full graduating class of Robert E. Lee HS in Houston (now the Margaret Wisdom HS).

Bonnie is survived by daughters Amy Murray of Laguna Niguel, CA, and Michelle Powell of Valley, AL, granddaughters Kate and Sarah Marberry, and brother, Bruce Hicks, of Sugar Land.

Donations in her memory may be made to the Fort Bend Women's Center, 501 E. Highway 90A, Richmond, TX 77406.  https://www.fbwc.org/get-involved/donate/
