In loving memory of

Mary Yu Fu
April 10, 1970 - July 17, 2019

Mary Yu Fu, aged 49, passed away in the arms of her family on July 17, 2019 from complications due to lung cancer at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Centennial.

Mary was born on April 10, 1970 to Fu Jiwen and Wang Yuchu in Hainan, China. She grew up in a loving family with five siblings. An excellent student, Mary graduated from the prestigious Sun Yat-sen University in 1992. Soon after, she made a brave decision to move to America. Arriving in Texas, she continued her trend of academic excellence by attending Texas A&M University-Commerce, receiving her Master of Computer Science in 1995. She married Deqiang Yin and together they had three children.

Mary lived every day with a quiet, positive energy. She believed that, although life might be difficult, there are no trials that you cannot overcome. She had a very go-with-the-flow attitude and never wasted her energy stressing over unimportant things. She carried herself with a calm, gentle strength that left a positive impact on everyone she met.

Although Mary described herself as lacking "guts", she was not only brave enough to come to a completely foreign country, but also strong enough to start a family there and thrive.

A mother to her core, she was endlessly patient and extremely loving. Mary never considered her children a burden, no matter how exhausting they might have been. She was always happiest with her family by her side. When her time came, her only true regret was not being able to see her children grow up but passed knowing that they will always love her.

Mary is survived by her siblings, parents, husband, and children (Larry, Jenny, and Kelly).
