In loving memory of

Kelly Dowling
April 22, 1986 - August 31, 2019

Kelly Lynn (Bassi) Dowling, left her earthly body August 31, 2019 surrounded by her closest family. Her 33 cheerful years on this earth were inspirational and full of grace. The youngest child and daughter of Nicholas and Karen Bassi, she was born April 22, 1986 in Marion, Ohio. Her early childhood was lived in Noblesville, Indiana. Her family came to Flower Mound, TX in 1996. She cried the whole way to her new home where she would soon meet her lifelong best friends. Kelly graduated Flower Mound High School in 2004, in college she worked while attending Tarleton State University.

Kelly was a nurturer. Babysitting and caring for young children was a passion at an early age. She loved animals and dreamt of caring for them in any capacity. She loved being around the wise and elderly. Kelly revered motherhood and always imagined a large family.

Kelly's 8 year battle with breast cancer only made her stronger in her disciplines of mercy and gratefulness. She led a wonderful faith filled journey, inspiring friends & helping anyone who needed it along the way. She preferred a simple life, Kelly loved laughing, playing with her children, beating them at board games, or reading to them. Kelly was an extrovert who never met a stranger. She always preferred to spread joy while spending her energies on others; her selflessness was remarkable.

She taught her kids to always announce what they were thankful for at the dinner table. She always encouraged them to be their best they could be. Kelly's ability to take thoughts captive and cast away negativity surpassed understanding.

Kelly is survived by her husband, Justin and beloved children Elise, Everett, and Ethan Dowling; mother and father Karen & Nick Bassi; brother Chris; along with a substantial extended family; friends; and loved ones

Kelly's last message to her children and loved ones. "Be Gentle, Kind, and Loving like Jesus"

"Kelly, You are an awesome and amazing person. So happy and goofy and that smile of yours is contagious.. You always have a way of making everyone in the room comfortable and have so much knowledge to give to everyone you were around. (Even when you didn?t know you were giving it) Seeing all of the old crew today, all my brother?s best friends, just made me remember how close we all are and how much we all really Love each other. You will be missed but never forgotten. You?ve impacted everyone you met and your happiness for life will be a lesson I WILL PREACH TO ALL MY KIDS. . Rest easy Kelly."
