Samuel M. Gonzalez
July 3, 1932 - October 24, 2019

Samuel M. Gonzalez, 87, of Houston, died on Thursday, October 24, 2019. Samuel was born on July 3, 1932 in Ventura, San Luis Potosi, Mexico to the late Aristeo Gonzalez Gamez and Paula Marquez Lopez.

Samuel was big on family and would often drove home to Mexico to visit. He truly enjoyed spending quality time with his grandchildren and was always cooking and grilling for his family, friends and for the church. He worked hard all his life, and he always went beyond his duties as a husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, uncle, friend and would even take time to help a complete stranger. He also loved watching baseball especially the Houston Astros and boxing.

Samuel was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Paula R. Gonzalez, whom he loved dearly; two siblings, Hilario Gonzalez and Sabas Gonzalez. He is survived by his five children, Samuel Gonzalez Jr. and his wife Bertha, Ana C. Castañeda, Conrado Gonzalez and his wife Migdalia, Noe Gonzalez and Hildario Gonzalez and his wife Zaida; 12 grandchildren, Denisse Pimienta, Yvonne G. Harris, Isairis G. Aleman, Yasmyne Gonzalez, David S. Gonzalez, Briana A. Gonzalez, Conrado Gonzalez Jr., Janie Gonzalez, Marely Gonzalez, Bethany A. Gonzalez, Bibiana A. Gonzalez and Hilario Gonzalez Jr.; 7 great-grandchildren, Genysis A. Pimienta, Ghiselle A. Pimienta, Gabriella A. Pimienta, Logan L. Harris, Jonathan J. Aleman, Emilia P. Harris and Benjamin S. Aleman; five brothers and sisters, Eduviguez, Victoria, Elvira, Guadalupe and Pablo; and many nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the many friends and relatives for their continued prayers and words of encouragement. Also, to the El Tabernaculo Church for their gracious hospitality and the TAB family for their prayers and spiritual support.
