In loving memory of

Greg "Zoo" Gulley
June 7, 1959 - November 16, 2019

Gregory "Zoo" Charles Gulley was born in 1959 on June 7th to Bobby and Margaret (Lemin) Gulley. Greg attended Hico High School Class of '77, then went onto trade school to learn to be a mechanic.  He could put together or take apart an engine faster than you could blink.  He knew every part of an engine. He loved tinkering around just to see if he could find a better way for it to work. He got this from his father.  He was   always at service for others. If you needed help Greg was the first one to show up. He could "fix" things people thought could not be fixed.  If you ever wanted to talk about cars with Greg don't mention the "F" word (aka: *ord)! Because he was a Chevy guy through and through... and Chevell's would put a smile on his face.

Greg was a jokester! He always had a smile on his face and loved to make you laugh. If you were having a bad day Greg knew just how to cheer you up.  He was a kind soul and was of service to others. If you need your yard mowed or truck fixed he was the go to guy.                Having been raised by five older sisters, he was spoiled rotten, but had a very compassionate heart.  His friends have a special nickname for him. They called him "Zoo." Being from Dallas, the local Classic Rock     Radio Station, KZEW 101.7, was his favorite. When he moved to Hico, Texas, no one had heard of "The Zew."  Greg would pass out all the Zew Bumper stickers to his friends so they would love and listen to the     station too.  And that's how he got his nickname "Zoo." Greg also had a special love for his dog "Chopper."  Remember, animals can offer a companionship like no other, and Chopper was his buddy.

Greg peacefully passed away at 4:30 pm on Saturday November 16th, 2019. He went to be with our Lord at the age of 60, and was greeted above by his father, Bobby Gulley.

Greg's life will continue to be remembered and celebrated by his    mother, Margaret Gulley; his children: Gregory Charles Gulley II (Taylor), Bobby Joe Gulley, William Gulley, and daughter Tamara Montez (Marcus); grandchildren: Anneveah Rose Nicole Gulley,       Maria, Marcia, Marcus JR., Max, and Margo Montez; sisters: Verna  Davis, Teresa (Robert) Young, Patricia (Robert) Campbell, Judy (Grant) St. Julian, Anne (Bernardo) Ugalde; his brother Robert (Diana) Gulley, and many nieces and nephews. He is also lovingly remembered by many friends.

Life!  It's what you make of it and he loved life. The most important things in life were his family, his dog Chopper, friends, big rigs, cars, being kind and having a sense of humor. His life might have not been perfect, but it was perfect for him and his family... He lived and loved... He also experienced the joys of being a Father and Grandfather.  His children want you to know that he was the best Father ever!

A Special Thank You to Lifeway Hospice for taking such good care of Greg, there are not enough words to express our gratitude.
