Beverly Bloom
April 25, 1928 - March 5, 2017

BEVERLY KRAKOWER BLOOM, 88 years, passed away on March 5, 2017 in Houston, TX. Born and raised in Houston, Beverly happily spent her whole life here. She attended San Jacinto H.S. and later graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in physical education. Beverly was a member of Sigma Delta Rho Sorority. Following school, Beverly started working at Royal Plumbing Supply where she worked for the next 45 years until she retired. She loved her work and all of the friendships she made. Beverly's passion was doing for and helping others. Before becoming ill she devoted her time to her faith, family and many organizations close to her heart including; Amit, The Holocaust Museum, Texas Children's Hospital and Seven Acres.   She taught Sunday School at United Orthodox Synagogue for many years and was loved by all who met her. Her laugh was contagious and she was always full of life and joy. Beverly was also a wonderful cook and you were always fed well when in her home. Her hobbies included knitting, bowling, travel and cheering for the local sports teams - especially her Houston Astros.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Ida Krakower, her brothers Robert Krakower and Joseph Krakower and sister Helen Wolf and her beloved husband of 64 years, Harry. She is survived by her daughter Sharon and Steven Lehrer and her son Joey and Rene Bloom; grandchildren Adam and Brenda Lehrer, Sheri Grisham, Ira and Jennifer Lehrer and Sarah Bloom; great-grandchildren Haley Lehrer, Dylan Lehrer, Alec Lehrer and Jack Lehrer and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to thank the many loving caregivers that took care of Beverly at The Medallion and later at The Silverado, Sugar Land. Her family is forever grateful for the loving care she received from so many compassionate and caring staff.
