Joan Rossman
February 1, 1934 - April 21, 2015
Joan "Bubba" Rossman (nee Cantor), a loving, compassionate and fiercely protective wife, mother, grandmother, sibling, daughter and friend died on April 21, 2015 in Dallas, Texas surrounded by her family, her friends and her loving caregivers. Mother of Elise, Arnold and Heidi. Sister of Steven (Maria) Cantor and the late Sue DiPersia. Grandmother of Scott and Nicholas.
Despite the early devastating losses of her dear sister Sue and then her husband Ivan, the love of her life, she pushed on with a strength and determination that never wavered. Multiple back surgeries left her in constant pain, but she made up her mind to "keep going", and going, and going and going! At the age of 55, she learned to drive so she could get to work. She had a smile for everyone she met be it another patient in the doctor's office; a child walking down the halls of the elementary school when she went to take lunch to Scott; candy and ice water for the maintenance crew that took care of the lawns at her house. It was always important to her that others should be respected and honored. She will be missed by all who were touched by her and who loved her. She is finally pain free and at peace.
