April 26, 1948 - May 16, 2015
Stephen Cohen, 67 years old passed away May 16, 2015 after a 53 year long fight of type I Diabetes. Steve was the epitome of miracles, having received 2 kidney transplants in his lifetime,
He is survived by his loving wife Marian, who tirelessly and unselfishly devoted herself to caring for him.
His son Evan Cohen, who he was able to see graduate as a PhD from MD Anderson. His daughter, Sarah Cohen, who he was able to see attend an Ivy League college.
His brother Andrew Cohen, who donated his kidney to Steve in 1997 and continuously was involved in his medical care while providing an unbreakable brotherly bond.
Lastly, his granddaughter, Elizabeth, who he loved and revered.
He is loved by many and will be remembered always.
He was an ardent supporter of kidney transplant patients, a die hard Astros and New York Yankees baseball fan, strived to be active and lead a healthy lifestyle, and had a passion for travel.

Memorial Service was held at Noon on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Congregation Emanu El, 1500 Sunset, Houston, 77005.
