Sari Motley
December 31, 1967 - May 19, 2015
Sari Motley died May 19th, 2015, after a brave battle with cancer. Her spirit and courage served as an inspiration to her family and friends. In her own words as she approached the end, she said, "when I go, you know I've won this fight".
Sari, the daughter of Charlotte & Jerry Motley, was born on December 31st, 1967. She graduated from Westbury High School and received her BS degree in Psychology from the University of Houston. Her passion about skincare was the perfect fusion of her much loved hobby, make-up, and was the basis for the creation of her company, SariMotley Cosmetics. Her grace and charm were obvious to all and her compassionate and caring friendship was abundant.
Sari was preceded in death by her father Jerry Motley and her brother Marc Motley. Fifteen years ago, Sari married Michael Drifmeyer, the love of her life, who survives her. She is also survived by her children, Blake and Asher Drifmeyer, her mother, Charlotte Motley, and her sister, Michelle Hansen and Michelle's husband Mark. Her nieces and nephew are Amanda, Kristi, and Kyle Hansen, and Emily Motley and Abigail Richards.
A Memorial Service honoring Sari will be held Wednesday, May 20th, 2015 at noon, in the Proler Chapel at Congregation Emanu El, 1500 Sunset Boulevard. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Houston Hospice, 1905 Holcombe, Houston, TX, 77030.
