In loving memory of

Shirley Pullman
April 12, 1924 - May 23, 2015

Beloved wife of the late Irving Pullman. Devoted and loving mother to Lauren (Allan) Laffer and Marc (Minnie) Pullman. Cherished grandmother to Jennifer (Andrew) Narbutis and Deborah (Michael) Hollinger. Proud great-grandmother to Ethan, Alyssa, Brianna and angel in heaven Abigail Shack, and Scott and Jake Hollinger. Dear sister to Rhoda Hoffman and the late Arlene Herman.
Shirley was born to immigrant parents Dorothy and Hyman Zohn and grew up on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. She graduated from Hunter College with a Bachelor's degree in History. She met her beloved Irving while working in the city's tax department and corresponded with him over the years he served in the U.S. Armed forces. They wed in 1949 and celebrated 55 years of marriage.

Shirley was a dedicated volunteer to various charitable organizations including the Heart Fund, Women's American Ort and the Sisterhood of the Oakland Jewish Center. She had a strong faith and profound love for Judaism. Her deepest devotion was to her family. She took great pride in all of the accomplishments of her family, no matter how big or how small.

Shirley spent her last 2 years living in an assisted living residence in McKinney, Texas near her daughter where she enjoyed her crossword puzzles, Bingo and socializing with her fellow residents. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her and loved her greatly.

May her memory be for a blessing.
