Evelyn Garfinkel Schorr, born January 23, 1925, passed away July 18, 2015.
Preceded in death by her parents, Abraham and Ida Garfinkel, husband Yale Schorr, brothers Sam, Kalman, and Harry Garfinkel and sister Esther Gotsdiner.
She is survived by her sons Ed Schorr, Dr. James Schorr, and Jerrel Schorr (Arlene), grandchildren Stephanie Schorr and Elizabeth White (Jeff) and sister Helen Brounes.
Evelyn was a member of Beth Yeshurun and an officer in its Sisterhood and in Hadassah. She loved her family and enjoyed knitting, needlepoint, crocheting, gardening and cooking. Religion was very important to her and she kept a kosher home.
Graveside services were held on July 20, 2015 at Beth Yeshurun (Allen Parkway) Cemetery with Rabbi Jack Segal officiating.
