Murray Shenker
July 5, 1926 - October 29, 2015

Murray Shenker, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away peacefully with his wife, Estelle (Lea) of 64 years, by his side on October 29, 2015.  He was 89.
Murray was born on July 5, 1926 in Brooklyn, New York.  He joined the Navy when he turned 18 and subsequently served in the Coast Guard before entering the banking industry.  Murray moved to Houston in 1974 with his wife and children, Syndy and Ben, and settled in Meyerland, where he lived in the same house until he passed.  Murray and Lea commuted to work with each other every day, as both were working downtown.  After finishing his career with JP Morgan Chase as an Executive Vice President, Murray and Lea enjoyed their retirement and family and were inseparable.  Murray was an avid golfer, self-read historian, and a baseball fanatic, and Murray and Lea went to the gym daily until recently.  Murray was adored by his wife, children, and grandchildren, and leaves behind many fond and loving memories with wife, Lea, children Syndy Gold (husband, Marc) and Ben, grandchildren Brooke Jones (husband Mike), Lori Williamson (husband Jacob) Cory Baum, Andy Baum (wife Kyla), Josh Gold, Michael Gold, Kelsey Gold, and Kyle Gold, and great grandchildren Laila and Gavin (Andy and Kyla), and Max and Sari (Brooke and Mike).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to a charity of your choice.
