In loving memory of

Roger Stanley
December 16, 1958 - November 13, 2015

Roger Bart Stanley passed away on November 13, 2015, due to interstitial lung disease. Roger was born on December 16, 1958, the fourth son of Renee and Paul Stanley. He graduated from the Lakehill School, then received a bachelors degree from Boston University and his masters in social work from the University of Maryland. He dedicated his professional life to serving others. Roger was the proud owner of Four Seasons Assisted Living in Bel Air, MD, where he served seniors and their families for two decades. For many years, he also served canines and their owners with an innovative and fun dog-wash and grooming service called Scrub-A-Dub Dog in Baltimore. Roger, and his beloved husband, Andres Finkielstein, loved to travel and managed to see most of the world. Not surprisingly, he developed close friends everywhere he went. He was a "people-person" - everyone he met loved him and his infectious smile and personality. He truly valued his close relationships with family and friends. He loved dogs, especially his and Andres' standard poodles, Seňor and Tootsie. Roger was pre-deceased by his father, Paul, and his brother, Rick. Roger is survived by Andres, his mother, Renee, brothers David and Marc, sisters Nancy and Wendy, seven nieces and nephews: Brett (Joe), Megan, Dustin, Daryl, Paul, Mikey and Asher, and amazing in-laws: Juan, Lucia, Carla and Pablo. Roger's family is grateful for excellent medical care and herculean efforts of the lung and transplant teams at Baylor. The ICU and 10th floor nursing care was spectacular. The family particularly wants to thank the family of the donor who gave Roger a chance to live. Roger would be the first to ask everyone reading this to please sign up to be an organ donor. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 15, at Sparkman Hillcrest, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you consider a donation to the American Lung Association or the charity of your choice. May Roger's memory be a blessing.
