"Dear Kay & Steve, there are no words to describe what is in my heart, the loss of Cody so young leaves a hole that will always be with you and only the love of God can give you the strength to go on, Cody was the light of your life and seeing so many young people at this viewing and funeral shows just how loved he was, I love you both and will continue to pray for strength for all your family."

"My Dear Sweet Cody, GOD must have needed an "Angel" to play your beautiful music in a Heavenly band. We only wish you could have been with us forever, but GOD must have other plans for you. We will cherish the wonderful memories of you and carry you in our hearts forever. I hope you could see all the wonderful friends and family who came to say goodbye to you. You had so many friends. We will love you and hold you in our hearts forever. Until we meet again, rest in peace. I'll Love you forever, Grandma Kay "

Hannah Myers wrote on Jun 3, 2011:

"I absolutely loved whenever he came over to stay with my little brother,Dylan. The first thing I would do as soon as I found out he was at my house was rush into my brother's room and give Cody the biggest hug. My favorite memories with him are when he came with us on our family vacations to Tennessee--from the Ripley's Haunted House, the Alpine slide, the hot tub, to the car rides there and back. I'll never forget the little boy in junior high with such spiky hair and a black trench coat that lived right down the street. The boy who performed with me in my senior play in high school. My other little brother. "
