Daniel E. Sanders
December 14, 1941 - May 31, 2011

Daniel E. Sanders, of Rhinelander, died Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at home under the care of his family. He was 69 years old. He was born on December 14, 1941 in Milwaukee, a son of Perry and Edith (Neal) Sanders. He married Mary Lou on May 21, 1983 in Milwaukee. She survives.

He was employed at Harnischfeger Corporation in Milwaukee. In 1983 he moved to Rhinelander and was employed at Ison Equipment and Lakeshore. In 2007 he retired from Frito Lay Farm after 14 years as electrical maintenance and all around handy man.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.

In addition to his wife survivors include three children, Daniel Sanders of Rhinelander, Deborah Sanders of Cudahy and Denise Dionisio of Cudahy; three step-children, Ryan (Lisa) Price of Waupaca, Yvonne (Jeff) Atwood of Muskegon, MI, and Lyla (Mark) Armstrong of Choteau, MT; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Dora Lou Bauhamer of CA, and Norma Tibbett of Milwaukee.

He was preceded in death by his son, Steven Sanders and sister, Goldie May Wilson.

No service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Great Lakes Hemophilia Foundation, 638 N. 18th Street, Suite 108, Milwaukee, WI 53233.

"Pete icefishing with Bob. Notice the infamous red wool outfit - someone was always giving him hell for wearing it! It got nicknamed the smoking suit - because he got a cig caught in it while a buck was staring at him - could only happen to him! Pete loved it!"
