Florence Schnurr died Friday, June 1, after a long struggle with Alzheimer's.
Married for 63 yrs. to her late husband Aaron Schnurr before his passing, they raised 3 children.
Survivors include Daughter Shelly and husband Steve Strauss and sons Jason and Zack; Son Martin and wife Karri with daughters Candice and husband Offer Ben - Arie, and son Azure; Daughter Ali, and husband Andrew Hoskins, with sons Ojai, Elliot, and Salem; Daughter Heather; Son Gordon, and grandchildren Johnathan and wife Paola and their children Oriana and Moises; and late Grandson Justin and Granddaughter Jennifer, and her daughter Presley.
Born and raised in Houston, Florence met and married Aaron Schnurr after meeting at the University of Texas.
While Husband Aaron was building his business, Florence gave her full attention to raising her 3 children. She joined Bnai Brith Women and was one of the most successful fund raisers in their history.
She went on to become the President of the Magnolia Chapter in Houston Texas.
She was extremely active in helping organize the Second Seder of Passover at Congregation Beth Yeshuren where she was a member all her life.
Florence also worked alongside her son, Martin, in the family clothing alteration business.
Her greatest happiness was the family gatherings at her home in the backyard pool. She lived for her family, and was the glue that held it all together.

A private family service will be held.
