" Presuming Maxine was the only Maxine Stanton in the Dallas area, I first met Maxine as one of her hypnosis clients in about 1980, and she worked with me on areas of self-improvement for about eight years, including a very interesting group session with about twenty people at the same time. I never forgot her after I left town, and wish someone would write a book about her so I could read it. I paid for the time she spent with me, but I also considered her to be a trusted friend. "

Maxine is survived by: sons: Tom, Gordon and Joe Adelstein, and her daughter, Elaine Wallace.

Maxine was a very smart and inspiring person to me...I learned a lot from her and she learned from me...She was a person that always wanted to help others...She would give you the shirt off her back if you let her...Yes, there were times she was a bit difficult but I know as we get older sometimes that is part of who we are....I feel very blessed to have known her...She was always speaking Yiddish or Hebrew ...she loved to sit outside and just look at the sky and the children play.....Loved to go to a restaurant to eat and always wanted to have gatherings...I enjoyed being with her...she would talk about her dad all the time and how he started from nothing and established many businesses from grocery stores to banks....Maxine spoke of her dad as a very smart man...Her mother was deaf and still she would always tell Maxine to do her best in all she did...It was always nice to hear her speak of her family and how from Russia they came to America....I will never forget Maxine she was like a mother to me.....she will be missed.....

"For over 25 years I had the good fortune of having Maxine Stanton as my friend. Naturally we shared many a meal, belly laughs, travels and at times-tears...... When she started referring to me as her Jewish daughter and herself as my Jewish mother, I felt safe, protected and very much loved. This incredible lady took me under her wings and taught me so many wonderful life lessons that have changed me life. Maxine's enormous intellect, her zest for living and her life-long mission for helping those in need even as she faced her own personal challenges was truly awe inspiring. I will miss my dear friend and cherish her memory forever."
