Constance Adelaide Bradford
November 10, 1922 - January 8, 2020

Constance A Bradford "Connie", 97, formerly of Abington MA, South Yarmouth MA, and Sun City Center FL, died peacefully in her sleep on February 8, 2020 at Ten Broeck Rehabilitation Center in Lake Katrine NY. Born November 10, 1922 in Boston MA, she was the daughter of Russell Betts and Constance (Wadell) Betts. She was predeceased by her husband of 60+ years Ray E Bradford, and her brother Russell W Betts.

Connie grew up in Abington MA, and attended the New England Baptist Hospital School of Nursing. She married her high school sweetheart, Ray, and they were married while she was still in nursing school. After graduation, she worked in many capacities as an RN, including neonatal nursing at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth MA, and Windsor Nursing Home in S Yarmouth MA. She and Ray retired permanently to Sun City Center where they lived for over 30 years. She loved travelling, outdoor activities, and was an avid fan of the New England Patriots and all professional tennis. While living in FL, she played tennis well into her 80's, participated as an alternate in bridge tournaments, and volunteered for the security squad. She loved animals, and household pets were always a major part of her life.

She is survived by her four children, Linda Bradford-Gambell of Marshfield MA, Kenneth Bradford of Sun City Center FL, Beverly Delaney of Saugerties NY, and Russell E Bradford of Harwich MA: seven grandchildren: Katherine Bradford of Blackstone MA, Scott Bradford of Sayreville NJ, Amy Susie Bradford of Montreal Quebec, Jennifer Erickson of Wesley Chapel FL, Kristin Gambell of NYC, Ryan Gambell of Carver MA, Russell Bradford of Yarmouth MA, and Beth Medchill of TN; 12 greatgrandchildren, and many dear nieces and nephews.

Connie will be laid to rest at Mt Vernon Cemetary in Abington MA. At her request, there will be no calling hours or funeral. A celebration of her life will be planned for this summer.
