MUSCATINE, Iowa - Vera Louise Reichert Webb, 103, of Muscatine, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, at her daughter's home surrounded by her family.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, January 12, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at Blue Grass Presbyterian Church , 325 W Lotte Street, Blue Grass, Iowa. Pastor Mary Pugh will officiate. A luncheon will follow at the church immediately following the service. Burial will take place at Parsons Cemetery, Oakville, Iowa at a later date. Vera was born November 8, 1916, in Muscatine, the first born of 15 children to Wilma Fern Fischer and Oliver Alfred Reichert, Sr. Vera Louise Reichert was united in marriage to Claude E. Webb, Sr on March 10, 1938, in Muscatine, Iowa. He preceded her in death on December 6, 1989.

Vera loved to garden, can fruits and vegetable and grow flowers, especially irises. She was the caretaker of Shady Creek and Clarks Ferry Recreation areas for many years prior to her retirement. She was a member of Moose Lodge 341, belonged to the Daughters of Mohassan Cauldron, White Shrine, and Eastern Star. Vera truly enjoyed reading and she always had a book in her hand. She will truly be missed by all of her family.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Gay (Leo) Hindbaugh of Muscatine and daughter in law Sharon Webb of Red Oak, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Shawn (Lisa) Carter, Lisa Starkweather, Lian (Jeremy Buck) Schmidt, Nicole Schmidt, Derek (Frannie) Schmidt, Kirk Webb, and Jana (Rick) Jessen; five great-grandchildren, Calvin Carter, Shian (Levi Wrieden fiance') Carter, Bailey Carter, Paige Jessen, and Regan Jessen; her two sisters, Pauline Webb and Sandra Van Winkle; and one brother, Paul (Jackie) Reichert.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Claude E Webb Jr. in 2007; one daughter, Linda C. Schmidt in 1994; six brothers, Oliver Reichert Jr., Richard Reichert, Robert Reichert, Ronald Reichert, Jackie Reichert, and Jerry Reichert; and five sisters, Loretta Drawbaugh, Gertrude Brown, Jean Thorpe, Patricia Blake, and Donna Reichert.
