Hugh J. Caviston, 86 of North Wales formerly of Cheltenham, died Sunday in the Southeastern Pa. Veterans Center in Spring City, PA.
Born in Philadelphia, PA., he was the son of the late Richard and the late Anna (nee Kelly) Caviston.
He served in the US Army Air Force from 12-07-1942 to 10-17-1945 flying missions in the European Campaign.
He was a Superintendent Of The Chestnut Hill Post Office, from which he retired in 1981.
Mr. Caviston was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and a former member of St. Joseph's Church in Cheltenham, Sandy Run Country Club, Ancient Order of the Hibernians.
He is survived by his wife of over 50 years Barbara C. (nee Walsh) Caviston of North Wales, PA; four daughters, Eileen (James) Ryan of Bryn Mawr, PA, Maureen (Michael Leventhal) Caviston of Stanford, CT, Karen (Andrew) Moynihan of West Chester, PA, Christine (Robert) Ilik of Fort Washington, PA; and 12 grandchildren. he is also survived by a sister, Sr. Eleanor Caviston LSA of Walden, NY.
Relatives & Friends may call Friday Sept. 30, 2005 from 8:30 to 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Church Boncouer & Waters Roads Cheltenham. Funeral Mass 10:00 AM Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham.
