Francis T. Prendergast "Fran"
November 5, 1946 - April 15, 2006
Francis T. Prendergast, age 59 of Dresher PA., died suddenly on Saturday April 15, 2006 in the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Francis and Margaret (nee Smith) Prendergast.
At the time of his death he was a Certified Public Accountant, employed by Pound Consulting in Philadelphia and was a member of AICPA and PICPA.
He was a graduate of the University of Dayton with a BS in 1973 and received his MBA from Temple University in 1983. He attended the Wharton School and AICPA Seminars.
He was a US Army veteran, serving as a Counterintelligence Agent from 1967 to 1969 and for the Republic of Viet Nam 1968 to 1969.
He was a Past Treasurer of the Upper Dublin Township School Board for 4 terms, Montgomery County, PA, Past Board Director, Montgomery County Ballet Company, Past Board Director, Butterworth Dance Company. He enjoyed the theater and all sports and was a voracious reader of history, fiction and current events.
He is survived by his wife Donna L. (nee Kaufman) Prendergast ; daughters Meghan J. Prendergast (fiancée Drew DiPrima) of Glenside; Gillian L. McGann, her husband Robert and their daughters Louisa, Isla and Vera, of Jenkintown. He is also survived by his sisters and brother, Margaret M. Prendergast, Maria P. Prendergast both of Philadelphia, and Thomas W. Prendergast, MD. of Berkley Heights, NJ.
Final Commendation with Military Honors will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at 11:30 AM at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd, Newtown, PA 18940
