"Dear Urso family, I am remorseful about your loss and like to extend my deepest sympathy for your loved one Kevin Urso. From personal experience I know that the death of a love one causes pain and grief and sometimes it seems unbearable. The Scriptures contain comfort that can assist us during times of distress. The ransom of Jesus and the hope of seeing my loved one again in the resurrection brought me comfort. I would like to share these three scriptures with you to give you comfort John 5:28, 29, Acts 24:15 and Romans 15:4. May the God of comfort give you peace and rest. Mrs. Higgins "
"I was so sad to see Kevin's obituary in the paper. My condolences to Kevin's family and friends. I worked with Kevin for a number of years at the Children's Home of Detroit. People use to say to me all the time " it must be really hard to work with those kinds of kids, why don't you find a different job, do something else." I'm sure Kevin was asked the same thing, many times. It takes a special person to work with traumatized children, day in and day out. Kevin was one of those special people. He had a challenging job ! We use to joke about how interesting it could be to come to work everyday, and what the kids would do next. He was very dedicated to the children in the program. No matter how challenging they could be. Kevin always was there for them and made their lives seem more normal and fun in ways these children never knew. I remember him going on numerous bike rides, trips to the Grosse Pointe pool, Camp Stoney, and the CHD Olympics. Kevin would sometimes bring things in from home to share with the kids or to teach them something new. Many of the boys looked up to him and requested 1:1 time with him. I know he touched the lives of these boys in many ways he would never know. He remained a loyal employee of the Children's Home until the day the program was closed for good. Maybe it will help to remember that in his short life, Kevin touched many. My deepest sympathy!!"
"May you all find the peace that surpasses all understanding, and the grace to live in the comfort of God's love."
