My grandmother often talked about the Cedar trees of Lebanon so as a family we thought it would be nice to ask for contributions to the Shouf Biosphere Reserve. The largest natural Cedar reserve in Lebanon. Here is a link to the information page and contribution information below the link. The reserve has an adopt a cedar tree program as well!

"Dear Salloum family, I am remorseful about your loss and like to extend my deepest sympathy for your loved one Sadie Salloun. From personal experience I know that the death of a love one causes pain and grief and sometimes it seems unbearable. The Scriptures contain comfort that can assist us during times of distress. The ransom of Jesus and the hope of seeing my loved one again in the resurrection brought me comfort. I would like to share these three scriptures with you to give you comfort John 5:28, 29, Acts 24:15 and Romans 15:4. May the God of comfort give you peace and rest."
"Grandma, you will always light our way! Love you and Miss you!"
"Thank you Grandma, for being my grandmother, for loving me no matter what. For feeding me at anytime, for challenging me, helping me, questioning me, provoking me, praising me, praying for me, joking with me. I had a loving, respectful and fully present relationship with her throughout my entire life. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten. "
"To my aunt Sadie, I will miss you so much. You always had a smile and hug for everyone all the time. I remember when you taught me and Anna to play the dice game craps and you kept score. We played for over an hour the first time and it was so fun. I love you and know you are in heaven looking down on all of us along with my dad. love, your niece "
"My sincere condolences to all Sadie's family and friends, and especially to my "sister" Jacalyn, who adored her mother and will miss her greatly. Sadie shines on in all of you. God Bless. ~ Love, Betsy"
"I have fond memories of Sadie, when she came to visit Jacalyn in the Upper Peninsula. She stayed up late with us, sitting around the campfire, as we laughed and told jokes. Always up for a new experience, she rode the ferry with Jacalyn to Milwaukee to celebrate my dad's 90th birthday last August. Sadie was kind and quiet, and very patient. Her loving spirit lives on in her family, and she will be missed. Peace."

"I remember when Sadie came to see me and my brothers and sisters at the breeder's house. I wasn't the most outgoing puppy, but Sadie saw something special in me and picked me out of the litter. I always loved her from day one, and I always knew she loved me."
"Sadie was a wonderful lady and a terrific mother-in-law. I am glad I was able to spend time with her and get to know her, and I will cherish the memories of cooking, watching old movies on TCM, playing dice and hanging out with her."

"What a blessing I have had to have such a loving and compassionate Aunt as my Aunt Sadie. She was kind hearted, loving, and enjoyed the company of all of her family and friends. She was there for me throughout my life. She was an Angel here on earth and now in heaven. She will be forever missed by all of us. Always with Love Forever, Niece, Sharon Anter-Ford"
"We will miss your sweet voice and smile. Rest in the hands of God. Peace and comfort to the family. "
"Her light continues to shine in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren."
"To Sadie's Family & Friends:
It was delightful to visit with Sadie online in Nisula and in person at Dave Cuff's birthday celebration. Her charm, beauty, strength and dynamic presence were evident on both occasions, and I am enriched by and grateful for these opportunities. Having buried both of my parents, I share your sense of loss and sorrow at her passing. I hope that, with time, each and all of you can celebrate her long and bountiful life, treasure her memory and the gifts she bestowed upon you, and rejoice that she no longer bears discomfort as she rests eternally in the arms of her loving God.
To Sadie -- then, now, and always, one heckuva gal!
Tenderly,
Steven R. Lasco"
"Thanks for teaching me about Lebanese cooking and for making the kibbee that everyone wanted. You will be missed greatly, but with the love in our hearts you will live forever. Goodbye, Sadie. "
