"Dear Stemmler Family,
On behalf of the entire Woods Warrior family, we send our most sincere condolences go to you. We were all touched by Lucy and wanted to share with you in some of the ways. I knew Lucy the entire time I coached for the Warriors and was lucky enough to coach her for two years. She was one of the swimmers who you were always excited coach. Her enthusiasm for the sport and team spirit made her a stand out member of the team. I will never forget the time that she stayed up to watch us decorate your house and how she giggled as she watched us the whole time. She was a bundle of joy and I feel so lucky to have known her. We are all sending prayers, love, and thinking of your family.
Patrick Vaughn
I am so sorry for your loss and I cannot possibly imagine what your family is going through. Even though I did not know Lucy long, I know that I was touched by her energy, spunk, and smile. She was such a sweet and lively girl. I am so very lucky to have had the opportunity to be her coach and so sad that the world won't get to see all of the amazing things she would have done. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Meghan Vismara
My most sincere condolences go out to you now. I had the wonderful opportunity to coach Lucy for two summers with the Woods Warriors. My memories of Lucy are always of her smiling. I do not recall a day when Lucy came to practice unhappy, and through all her hard work I never heard a single complaint from her. One of the things I remember most about Lucy was what a proud sister she was. She always had something to tell me about her siblings. She loved them very much. Thank you for letting Lucy be apart of the Woods Warriors team. Her bubbly personality was an amazing asset to our team that I will never forget. I pray that the love of God enfolds you through this difficult time.
Megan Climer
Lucy never ceased to put a smile on everyone's face. Every Time I turned my head I saw her cheering for her teammates and having such a positive attitude towards swimming. She was friends with everyone on the team and was such a strong role model. The Warriors and I will miss Lucy so much.
Mary Claire Hass
Lucy was a burst of sunshine and joy, never ceasing to smile or bring fun to the day, the team and life won't be the same without the Lucy flair.
Peter Cherry
Though I never had the opportunity to coach her directly, I have still been deeply impacted by Lucy's life. I never saw her without a huge smile on her face; she was constantly encouraging her teammates and lifting the spirits of the team and coaching staff with her infectious joy.
Elizabeth Tunisi
"Lucy was such a vital part of the Warrior Family. Her smile is what will remain with me. She always had a positive attitude and I know the entire team will miss her."

"Lucy was such a great person. I knew her cince I was a little Baby. I remember taking Rhea to all Lucy's birthday partys. And I remember always seeing Lucy with eater a loose tooth or a mising tooth. And I remember when we moved here, Rhea was so excited that her best friend since she was two years old, was now her neighbor and Rhea would be best friends for as long and they would live. From the past three years that my family has lives here on this court, I've learned a couple things from Lucy. One thing that she taught me was that how to stick op for my self and for one another. On my side of things, Lucy was more than jest a naighbor, more that jest my sisters best friend. She was like a sister to me. Lucy was the kind of person who would always include me. When ever her and Rhea were to go to Oxford, she would always see is me and Joe wanted to tag along. And corse we did. And I rem the first time Lucy came over to see our cats, and she accidentally sat on one of the cats. That was really funny. We miss u Lucy.

"Although we never had the pleasure of knowing Lucy, Adam spoke of his daughters and wife frequently at Room-Mom meetings, field trips, and conferences during our son's 4th grade year at Richard. Our family is so shocked and saddened by the passing of Lucy, who was clearly an angel on earth, & now in heaven. We pray that your family will find strength and joy, knowing that your beloved daughter/sister is safe and sound in God's hands. Love and hugs to the Stemmler family. "

"Although I only knew Lucy from swim, my friendship with her was stronger than most " Swim friend" relationships. Lucy is not the most talkative, or the loudest, but she is comforting, and sweet . She makes you feel like you have been friends with her forever. She didn't care if she was the fastest person in the lane but going last, she was just happy to be there, and she was always there with a smile on her face.
I remember the first time I saw Lucy, we were racing each other in the 100 breaststroke. When she touched me out at the wall, the first thought in my head was, that girl is fast. So when I saw her in my heat at a swim meet, I would be scared. When she was in my swim group I was excited, because she was someone I could chase after in hard practice sets. I wasn't to soon after that when we became friends, and Lucy was someone I really enjoyed.
Lucy was a great person, and no one will ever forget her,
Xoxo,
Andie"
