"I just came across this obituary this morning. I grew up on Fisher Road two houses down from his Grandfather Quigley . Grainger and his sister Jill would come over to play with my brother Louis and me all the time. His parents were very nice I remember. Those days in the late 1960's and early to mid 1970's were days of fun. I had wondered about Grainger from time to time so I decided to see if he was on LinkedIn or Facebook to research some old and ancient friends from my neighborhood, and to my sadness and shock, I saw that he had passed away on Halloween 2018. I am saddened beyond measure to find this out. To his sister Jill, please accept the condolences from our Charbonneau family especially my brother Louis H. Charbonneau, III. With sincere condolences and prayers for the Quigley family, Francis Louis Charbonneau, Jr., Fisher Road Grosse Pointe, MI from 1963 - 1997. "

"I met Grainger while we both attended Wayne State and the Wesley Foundation bible studies. He told us of his closed head injury and the doctor who said he'd probably never graduate and become a doctor. He inspired us with his determination. I'm sorry for your loss."

"I met him when he was a server at an Italian place he was so funny. We hit it off and were fri for a couple years. I liked him. We talked on the phone for hours. He told the same stories all the time. I didnt mind. I liked him. I dont know why he crossed my mind today. I looked him up and was shocked to see hes gone. So sorry. "
