"My memory of Jerry will always be how to live and enjoy life. When I first was introduced to the family I was also introduced to the world of sailing, one of many passions for Jerry. It was a joy to watch and learn from Jerry the art of sailing, the world of Mackinaw Island and even sailing the San Francisco Bay!! We skied many mountains with Jerry and Kathy, from Boyne to Telluride, Utah, Jackson Hole and Squaw Valley. These trips will always be precious to us especially Jerrys' last ski trip out west with his grandchildren and family in California in 2013 at the age of 87! His final visit to California was two years ago to see his Grand Daughter Malea graduated from high school. Papa as our children had a home up north and when we visited was equipped with a golf cart, kayaks, laser, motor boat, a lake and more. The motor boat cruises Papa took the kids on visiting Canada for the first time. Papa loved to dine out when we came to visit and we saw so many of his favorite spots all over in Michigan. Jerry will always live on in our hearts and we will continue to carry all of those memories and more of Jerry/Papa, a loving dad and grandfather. Thank you Jerry for teaching us all about how to enjoy life to the fullest. We love you!"
