Maxine L. Welfare, 94, of Fort Dodge passed away Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Friendship Haven.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 3rd at The Celebration Center, Friendship Haven with Rev. Jennifer Osheim-Owen officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Home Cemetery in Ledyard, Iowa. A visitation will be on Monday one hour prior to the service at the Celebration Center. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family.
Maxine is survived by nieces, Joyce Rork of Otho, June Smith, Betty (Loring) McNeil, Maxine Vandivier, Bev (Stan) Myers, and Kathy Cassem all of Fort Dodge and nephews, Kenneth Crouse and Larry Crouse both of Lehigh, niece-in-laws Carol Crouse
She was preceded in death by her parents Jessie and Grace (Almond) Welfare, brothers Kenneth and Merle Welfare; sisters, Arlene Seavers and Marie Cassem; brother-in-laws Harold Crouse, Bob Seavers, and Les Cassem, nephews Dennis Crouse, Donald Crouse, Robert Crouse, and Richard Crouse, nephew-in- laws Gordon Vandivier, Michael Smith and Roy Rork.
Maxine Louise Welfare was born May 21, 1925 in Reliance, South Dakota. As a child, Maxine moved to Ledyard, Iowa. She attended schools in the area and graduated from high school in Swea City. Following her education Maxine was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and baking. Maxine loved time spent with her family.
Memorials may be left to family discretion.
