October 14, 1943 - February 1, 2020

Orville William "Bill" Morton, Sr., age 76 passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax. Burial will follow at Greencastle Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family ad condolences may be left at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com

The son of Ellis Orley and Laura Geneva (Miller) Morton, Bill was born on October 14, 1943 in Gilman, Iowa. He served in the United States Navy. Bill worked at Maytag retiring in 1983. He loved his acreage, enjoyed coon hunting and deer hunting, reloading his own shells, spending time with his friends at McDonalds and most of all being with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Those left to honor his memory include his children; Dixie Morton, Katherine Morton, Orville William (Victoria) Morton, Jr. and Dillion (Olga) Morton; 11 grandchildren, Sharon, Katherine (Nicky), Dustin, Kayden, Amelia, Marilyn, Luna, Kadence, O.W. Morton III (Tripp), Jadie Dooley and Keaton Dooley; nine great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Austin, Kathryn, Payton, Conner, Thomas, Danielle, Emmalee, and Megan; his girlfriend, Gloria Bouvier; a sister, Patricia Kintz and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, wife, Lynda Moran, a great grandson, Wesley Dean and siblings, Jim, Joe, Robert, and Richard Morton and Catharine Henderson.
