"It was such a beautiful tribute to Clint! You all will continue to be in my thoughts! Clint made everyone laugh & smile! Keep those memories in your hearts! Love you guys! ?"
Clinton Wells Gardner, 48, of Geneva, passed away Monday, February 3, 2020, at his home in Geneva. He was born October 21, 1971, to Jay Dean and Gloria Jean (Harlan) Gardner.
Clint grew up as an army brat, moving around to several different states and countries. He enjoyed his time in Europe, taking advantage of the chance to travel. Clint graduated from Hanau American High School in Hanau, Germany. He moved to Lafayette, Indiana, after returning from Europe and worked as a bricklayer and did construction work. He returned to Iowa in 2007 and felt like he was coming home at last.
Clint enjoyed music and spending time with his family, especially his children, grandchildren and nephews. He enjoyed playing with them and connected with them on a level we couldn't understand, but they loved him with all their hearts. Clint would do anything for anybody, always there to help wherever he could. He had a goofy sense of humor and could make anyone laugh. Clint always lightened the mood and made people smile wherever he went.
Clint is survived by his son Steven (Lorraine) Kesler of Geneva, son Zachary Gardner of Geneva, daughter Taylor Gardner of Hampton; grandchildren Elijah, Hannah, Natalie and Steven; parents Jay Dean and Gloria Gardner of Geneva; sister Erica (Jess) Miller of Latimer, brother Brandon Gardner of Thornton; nephews Ashton Miller, Callen Miller and Dax Gardner.
Clint was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Don and Margaret Gardner, and maternal grandparents, Marvin and Wanda Harlan, and nephew Aiden Miller.
