Vonne Lee Fugate
October 12, 1952 - February 6, 2020

Vonne Lee Fugate went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on February 6th, 2020, at 67 years of age.

Vonne was born to Lyle and Wilma Gilliland on October 12, 1952, in Humboldt, Nebraska. She grew up on a farm near Humboldt. Vonne was very active in 4-H, winning numerous state awards. More importantly, the Lord saved Vonne in 1971, transforming her life. She graduated with honors from Southeast Nebraska Consolidated High School in Stella, Nebraska in 1971. Vonne became a registered nurse upon graduating from Nebraska Methodist College in Omaha, Nebraska, in 1974. She earned her AAPC certification as a medical Certified Professional Coder in 2017.

Vonne devoted much of her life to her family, including homeschooling each of her children. She treasured spending time with her grandchildren, and she also gave of herself caring for others. Vonne's special interests and hobbies included music, gardening, alternative medicine, and crafts.

Vonne was preceded in death by her parents and parents-in-law. Left to honor Vonne and remember her sacrificial love are her husband of 46 years, Robert, their four children and their spouses, and twelve precious grandchildren.

The memorial service celebrating Vonne's life will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 15th, 2020 at Legacy Hall, 6104 Irvington Road, Omaha, NE 68134.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Vonne's name to Lord of Nations, PO Box 641592, Omaha, NE 68164.
