Helen Louise Gregory
May 20, 1929 - February 7, 2020

Helen L. Gregory, age 90 of Colfax, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2020, at Regency Care Center in Norwalk. Graveside funeral services will be held on Friday, June 12, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the Colfax Cemetery. The daughter of Carroll and Nellie (Gable) Kirk, Helen was born on May 22, 1929 in Mahaska County, Iowa. She graduated from Oskaloosa High School in 1948. On January 23, 1968, she was united in marriage to Oral F. Gregory in Princeton, Missouri. Helen enjoyed league bowling at Triangle Lanes in Colfax. And was owner/operator of Oak Park Grocery.

Those left to honor her memory include her children, Terry Lee (Tom) Wilson, Larry Bruce (Carla) Awtry and Lisa Rae Awtry. Seven grandchildren, D.J. Awtry, Jason (Tracey) Awtry, Justin (Meghann) Awtry, Colin (Rachel) Wilson, Shannon (Phil) Mueller, Melissa (John) Powell, Kaylee (Stacey) Bonnet. Seventeen great grandchildren. Sisters Wilma Wyatt and Gloria Hunt as well as several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, 3 sisters and 3 brothers.
