"I am so sorry to hear of the passing of my beloved older sister Patty, and express my sincerest sympathy to her children, Annie and Todd, grandchildren, and family.
I hope Patty?s brilliant life and achievements are not forgotten. Patty served as an inspiration to me when I was young. As I look through old family scrapbooks, I see that as a high school girl she won contests at the state level for her clothing construction and design, with her photo appearing in Seventeen magazine for a related achievement. After high school, Patty left home and went to college to get a teaching degree in a time which was unkind to women attempting to forge careers other than a traditional wife and mother. She will be missed.
