In loving memory of

John Anthony Aguirrie
November 14, 1957 - February 9, 2020

John "Anthony" Aguirrie was born on November 14, 1957 in Houston Texas to Johnny Anthony Aguirrie and Carol Driggers Aguirrie. He passed suddenly on February 9, 2020 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
The oldest of three brothers, he moved with his family to Austin in the early 70s and worked for his father in the family body shop. Anthony spent the next few years working for several local dealerships learning his trade and in 1978 opened his own shop, Aguirrie Paint & Body. In 1979 he met the love of his life, Kelley Hill Aguirrie. They were married September 25, 1988 and had 40 great years together before his passing.
He and Kelley raised two children. A hands on dad, he attended practices and games every chance he had. Fishing, hunting and travel were his favorite hobbies. As a global angler, he caught Peacock Bass in the Amazon and Nile Perch in Egypt. His favorite spot was the gulf coast, where he treated family and friends to his joy of fishing.
Anthony is survived by his parents Johnny and Carol Aguirrie, his wife Kelley and their two children Jennifer and Jonathan, and brothers Charles and Michael. He leaves behind three brothers in law, three sisters in law, five nephews, two nieces and countless friends. All will miss him greatly.
In honor of Anthony's practical nature and his desire to teach; we request that instead of flowers, a donation to a charity that provides children with an opportunity to learn to fish.
