Marilyn Pratt Cobb, age 81, of Dripping Springs Texas, passed away peacefully at home on February 16, 2020 surrounded by family. Marilyn was the third child in a family of five, born to Leon and Florence Pratt of Syracuse, NY.
Marilyn went to Weedsport High School and attended Syracuse University, afterwards enlisting in the US Air Force. She was awarded the American Spirit Honor Medal for her outstanding qualities of leadership. Upon her discharge from the military, she worked in the travel industry for over 20 years. Some of her hobbies included cross stitch, needle point, gardening as well as being an avid sports enthusiast.
Marilyn is survived by her husband, Joe Cobb of Dripping Springs, sister Gwen Cornell of Maryville, Missouri, niece Sue Merrill of Largo, Florida and stepdaughters Shannon Cobb Evans and Kim Cobb Moncure. She is preceded in death by her brother Dowell Pratt and sisters Jackie Porter and Charlyn West, as well as her parents Leon and Florence Pratt.
Funeral services will be held at Harrell Funeral Home, 100 Heritage Drive, Austin, TX 78737 on Monday, February 24th at 1:00 p.m.
We would like to extend a special thank you to the precious staff at Sonder Hospice. They were truly angels both to Marilyn as well as our entire family.
