Weathers, Joann Krusenklaus, age 52, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2014 surrounded by her family. She was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church, where she had been a Eucharistic Minister. She was a graduate of St. Joseph School, Knoxville Catholic High School, and attended the University of Tennessee. She established the technology program at St. Joseph's School and taught the program to kindergarten through eighth grade for several years. Joann was a gifted glass and fiber artist whose work graces many homes. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Lee Krusenklaus, Sr. She is survived by daughters, Mary Kathryn Weathers, Mackenzie Weathers Boyd (Matthew); son, Benjamin Weathers; mother, Betty Krusenklaus; brothers, Robert Krusenklaus, John Krusenklaus (Connie), Michael Krusenklaus (Sandra); and nieces, Lauren, Rachel, Amy, Kira, Jesse, and Mei Grace. Visitation will be held at Gentry Griffey Funeral Chapel on Thursday, September 11th , from 6-8 pm, with a Christian Wake Service to follow. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Ghost Catholic Church on Friday, September 12th at 11 am, with Father John Dowling officiating. The family is very appreciative of the wonderful care Joann received from the University of Tennessee oncology and hospice doctors and nurses. In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Joseph School or the Susan G. Komen fund in her memory.
