In loving memory of

Dylan J. Croft
November 4, 1994 - February 12, 2016

Dylan James Croft passed away on Friday, February 12, 2016 at the age of 21. He was driving in north Knox County at the time of his death. Dylan was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on November 4, 1994, the second of two children. Dylan and his family moved to Tennessee in 1997, where he would live for the rest of his life. As a child, Dylan was a boy scout. His favorite thing about the boy scouts was going with his dad on the field trips they took outdoors. He loved fishing as well as hiking. Dylan was a student at Halls High School. He had a passion for playing the sport of pool competitively. Throughout his life, he would spend countless hours in the bonus room of his house with his dad playing pool all night long. He loved shooting pool so much that he would even play in pool tournaments. Dylan loved working side by side with his dad tackling remodeling projects no matter how difficult. Dylan was a free spirited, kind-hearted, and fun loving young man with a photogenic smile.

Dylan is survived by his father James Allen Croft; step-mother Nina Croft; mother Lone' Sorensen; sister Stephanie Croft; step-brothers Christopher and Cari Carter; step-sister Kala Carter; grandmother Barbara Croft; aunts Sandie Wedge and Michelle Etheridge; uncles Scott Croft, Terry Smith, and Norman Etheridge; cousins Brittney Wedge, Jamie Stafford, Ryan Smith, Jessica and Bryan Croft, Stewart, Emma, Gabby, and Zoe Etheridge.

"James and Lone, This is Tim Martin I was one of Dylan's cub scout leaders back when he was in the Bears Den and into scouts when we all formed the cobra patrol. I am so sorry for the loss of your son . He was a great young man that I got to work with for several years and will never forget the time when we were hiking in Piney River Gorge and my son Tyler fell and broke his arm .I told Dylan to set the pace and get us out of there and he did.and I'm forever grateful. My prayers are with you all and find peace in knowing he is in the Lord's care. forever more. ,Tim"

"Dylan was a friend among friends and a cherished person to be missed. He brought happiness into many people's lives and it's hard to think that we will not see him again. But he will remain in the hearts of all those he touched with caring and outgoing personality. He is someone that I am inspired by and will continue to hold onto in my thought and dreams. The time that he spent with us will never be forgotten and we continue to push forward in life. Let us remember him for all he is and all he wanted to be and remember that now he is in a place where he is happy and without pain or suffering and that we will see him again when the time is right. I can't wait for when I can stand beside him and laugh again and have long debates about the most random of topics. I miss you and love you dylan. I'll see you soon"

"Whenever we think of Dylan, the first thing that comes to mind is his wonderful smile. We are truly blessed that Dylan was part of our lives. I can honestly say that every time he entered our home that he had that warm, loving smile that melts a heart. He had a way of making a person smile or laugh that only he possessed. Every time we walk down our sidewalk, it is a constant reminder of him. His landscaping techniques were beyond reproach. Dylan, we are thankful to God for allowing us to be part of your life. We will miss your posts on FB. Dylan we will see you again and I know that you will have that wonderful smile when you greet us. Our condolences to his family."
