Vivian Simpson Byrd
June 24, 1934 - July 20, 2016

Vivian Simpson Byrd Lindsey, age 82, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2016. She was a loving mother, grandmother & great-grandmother who will always be remembered for playing board games with her grandchildren .

Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, Oza & Bertha Hill Simpson; husband, Verlon Byrd; husband, Otis Lindsey; daughter, Carolyn Annette McCoy; and siblings, Ova Simpson & Gladys Simpson Jeffers. She is survived and will be deeply missed by her children, Edward Byrd and wife Rhonda, Sheila Miller and husband Jim, Mickey Byrd and wife Amy; grandchildren, Wayne Stinnett, Erica Brown, Craig Byrd, Jamie Hart, Whitney Byrd, Chance Brown, Esau Byrd; ten great-grandchildren; brothers, Oza Simpson, Jr., Buster Simpson, & H.L. Simpson; sisters, Mildred Simpson Moon & Geraldine Simpson Brock; and other extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends at Gentry Griffey Funeral Chapel on Friday, July 22nd from 6-8 pm. The Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, July 23rd at 11 am at Fairview Cemetery in Huntsville, TN, with Rev. Billy Kurtz officiating.
