Hubert Young Rollen
July 16, 1933 - February 22, 2020

Rollen, Hubert Young -

Age 86, Clinton, TN, Hubert went to Heaven on Saturday. Born on July 16th, 1933, in Perry, GA, Mr. Rollen was preceded in death by his father William Harris Rollen, his mother Anne Young Rollen, and brother William (Bill) Harris Rollen Jr. He leaves behind his loving wife of 61 years Ann Woodard Rollen and his sons Bert Rollen (and wife Teresa Rollen) and Michael Keith Rollen, brother James Holt Rollen, sister Dean Barbieri, and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Rollen leaves behind friends Lee Blake, Ricky Woodward, Bob & Judy Morris, Don McConnel, Bud Ketner, Rhinda Ward, and Kim Kubinski, but he also follows the trail blazed by David Ward, his best friend and hunting partner in the world. The family thanks and loves them all.

Hubert arrived in Oak Ridge, TN, in 1954 where he met his wife Ann and worked as a machinist at the Y12 plant for almost 40 years until retiring in 1993. His passion was all things outdoors - hunting (especially turkey!), fishing, camping, motorcycling, and gardening were among his favorites. He enjoyed time with his friends and family as he camped with the K-Town Camping Club, served on the board of directors for the Campbell Outdoor Recreation Association to help establish what is now the TWRA's Royal Blue Wildlife Management Area, and helped create habitat and food plots while a lifetime member of the National Wild Turkey Federation.

The family will announce any memorial services later.

The family suggests contributions in his memories to the NWTF Hunting Heritage JAKES Programs or the American Cancer Society.

Gentry Griffey Funeral Chapel is honored to serve the Rollen family and invites you to view and sign the online registry below.
