Marie Leister
February 4, 1941 - February 26, 2020

Marie Leister, 79 of East Norriton and formerly of Fort Washington, died Wednesday in the Einstein Medical Center Montgomery County, East Norriton, PA.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (nee Paone) Mascola.\

Marie was an active member of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Ambler, where she was involved in many activities, including making meals for the homeless, playing pinochle, working the rummage sales, and participating in the Ladies' Guild, which included playing Santa Claus during the annual Christmas dinner. She also participated in retreats at the Dominican Retreat House in Elkins Park. Above all, Marie was an entertainer who loved to dance, sing, and perform in plays. She was creative, crafty, and loved to sew. She enjoyed making up characters to perform at parties, some of which included a bag lady and judge. Marie loved to babysit her grandchildren, play games, bake and cook. In addition, she also volunteered with the elderly at Artman Home. She was happiest when her family gathered for holidays and parties and she always had a game to play with prizes for all. She was a wonderful, happy woman who enjoyed every person she met and made all of her friends and family feel cared for and deeply loved.

She was a billing clerk, employed by IMS America in Plymouth Meeting for many years prior to her retirement.

Marie is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Harry M. Leister, and is the devoted mother of Jeffrey Leister of Norristown, Christopher Leister of Leesport, PA, Mary Jo Winz and her husband Jim of Phoenixville, and Tricia Allen and her husband Sean of Ambler.
