David S. Dannenberg, 92, of Scottsdale, AZ died Thursday, January 9, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Sally; daughter Eva and son-in-law Steve Scholfield, Phoenix, AZ; grandsons Joshua (Jennifer Parker) Scholfield, Phoenix, AZ and Adam (Tara Carpenter) Scholfield, Glendale, AZ; and three great-grandsons. He was predeceased by his grandson Benjamin Scholfield. Dave served in the Army Airforce during WWII. A resident of Brick Town for 31 years until retiring in 1987, he was active in many organizations including being a founding member of the Carl Lamberson Chapter DAV, Brick Elks, and Cubmaster of BSA Pack 3 for many years. A model maker for Charles Besler, Co. following WWII until his retirement, he and his wife owned Ceramics by Sally in Brick Town for more than 20 years. After moving to Arizona, he volunteered as a van driver at the VA Hospital in Phoenix for 18 years. He was a past-Commander of DAV Chapter 22, Scottsdale, and a lifetime member of Post 194 Jewish War Veterans, Phoenix.
