In loving memory of

Steven Kozlowski

Steve was a remarkable and vibrant family man that touched the lives of all those around him. He lived and breathed the vitality of life until he passed. Steve was known as "Sid Vicious" or just "Sid" to more than he was his own birth name. Fitting, as he was a veritable encyclopedia on all things punk rock related no matter how obscure, and he was well known within Phoenix and Chicago area circles. He loved his family more than anything else, and kept in touch with everyone even in this increasingly discordant era we are in of everyone being connected yet no one really talking. Inheriting the gifts of generations past, he was a skilled mason in the family business in Chicago, Illinois. Later, he became a master mechanic in the family auto repair business. He was gifted with anything computer related to an extent most cannot fathom. He had quite an affinity for rare coins, amassing some top 100 registry sets in the entire world. Sid had more heart than most and helped many people down on their luck, be it a couch for the night or a month, or ten bucks to put food in their belly. He loved the gift of life and learned to live righteously and at peace with himself and the world. He is survived by his father Robert, his brothers Frank, Ken, Michael, and Ron, niece Gabby, nephews Kevin, Kenny Jr., Levi, and Frank Jr., and cat Poontang. Celebration of Life services will be held privately on July 12th from 1pm-4pm.

"Sidney, I was just looking you up to try and find you again. I guess I was too late this time. Sorry man, I had moved to Sacramento for a while. You are seriously missed my friend. I still got all the bootlegs of all our shows and the bands we opened for, and pics of that Lunachicks/Buzzcocks show and that Sex Pistols show too. You always had a cd of music to give me everyday. My dad still listens to the Elvis box set you burned for him. He always talks about you everytime he brings it out. We first met when I was walking passed you outside your apartment. You saw me with my mohawk and spiked collar and asked; "do you like punk?" I said; "no, I like country" To me he was Sidney and he always called me Toddney. I think I was the only one who ever called him Sidney. We'd always sing.... "Just shove me in a plastic bag and leave me on the pave-a-ment" I could never say pave-a-ment quite like you. "

"you are missed Sid..everyday...you were family and Devin, Fallyn and I miss you dearly. I am grateful for the 12 years of friendship, visiting you almost daily, enjoying our walks to Fry"s, making cd"s from the many shows we attended, celebrating holidays, being best friends and the other half of the heart for each other. I will never forget or stop thinking of all the good things that bring a smile to my face and would bring one to yours."
