"I was very sad to receive the news of Pam\'s passing. I am very grateful to have known her. She was so generous, and was an important volunteer and supporter of the Highlands Center for Natural History. On our only outdoor adventure together, I enjoyed her and Richard\'s company when we hiked to Havasupai. A strong lady! I also remember Pam and Richard opening their home in the Ranch many years ago for a gathering to encourage support for the new Highlands Center site on Walker road. And when red wine got spilled on Pam\'s beautiful carpet during that event, she just got out her \"Wine Away\" and took it in stride. I can imagine what a loss this is to her family. My thoughts and love are with you all."

"We\'ve been friends with Pam for the last 5 or 6 years, and dearly miss her. We met through a hiking club (Healthy Hikers) here in Prescott, AZ, and quickly came to cherish Pam as a \'can do\' hiker and very sociable on the trail. In the Fall of \'13 I led a hike which I\'d advertised as being about 11 miles; We\'ll I managed to get displaced a bit and it ended up being closer to 19 miles...not that it made any difference to Pam. She just pressed forward with lots of vigor. She did call Dick though, and he came to pick us up in the little green jeep. Should have seen the 7 of us crowded into that 2 seater. At that point though, better than walking. One of the things we learned from/about Pam is her reaching out to foreign tourists. Always greets them with a big smile, welcomes them to the USA, and wishes them a good time here. Great model of a good will ambassador. Marian and I will always remember this, and carry on her campaign. Our heartfelt sympathy for Pam\'s passing, Bill & Marian Moody"

"One of my favorite people in the world, my mother, Pamela Parker Tetreault, passed away early in the morning on March 31, 2015, surrounded by her husband and children. As she always has, she faced this life experience with complete love, faith in God, and a profoundly grateful appreciation for the life, family, and many friends with whom she had been blessed. Following her professional career in Las Vegas, Nevada, as a CPA and co-owner of an accounting software company, she and my father, Richard Tetreault, retired to Prescott, Arizona, where she was active in so many charitable activities that I\'m certain I cannot remember them all. I know she enjoyed working with the League of Women Voters, the Highlands Center for Natural History and the First Church Christ Scientist in Prescott. She also volunteered numerous hours with the Community Juvenile Justice Committee, which was a diversion program for at-risk teens and one of her favorite volunteer experiences. Throughout her life, she was thoughtful, caring, and always focused on how she could help others. During my high school years, she and my father sponsored a number of foreign exchange students and created their own scholarship program for teenage girls who could not afford college. She would take it upon herself to volunteer her time and funds any time she learned of someone in need. She wanted no credit or recognition for helping others, and would have preferred, if possible, for her charitable work to remain anonymous, as she viewed opportunities to help others as one of the best parts of life. She loved traveling with my father, both in their RV to visit family and friends around the country, as well as taking numerous foreign trips around the world every year. In the next two years alone, she had scheduled a trip to the Galapagos Islands, a Thames Riverboat Trip in England followed by a Scotland Photography Tour, a River Cruise along the Volga River from Moscow to St. Petersburg, and a visit to Gothenburg, Sweden, to visit her favorite Swedish exchange student, Suzanna. In addition to traveling, she was a passionate hiker and fitness enthusiast, making sure each week included several hikes, spinning classes, yoga and swimming. She loved my father, her two children and her four grandkids more than anything. If you spent any time with her, she would tell how much she cherished seeing her children as parents. She created a living history book for each grandchild from birth so they would know how much she cared for each of them. She also adored Christmas and had a Christmas collection of dishes, decorations and Santa dolls that would rival many department stores. My mother is survived by her husband, Richard Tetreault, with whom she shared their 56th Wedding Anniversary this past July 4th, after meeting on a blind date in 1958. She is also survived by her son, Alex Tetreault (Elena Garcia Tetreault) of St. Louis, MO, daughter, Renée Tetreault Fortunato (Marc Fortunato) of Phoenix, AZ, by her grandchildren: Anna Tetreault, Michael Tetreault, Lucia Tetreault and Eliza Fortunato, as well as her sister, Mary Rascon of Torrance and her family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Maryland Beamer Parker. We will all miss her ready laugh, caring nature, endless compassion and overwhelming love for her family. And news, that woman loved to watch the news more than anyone I have ever known. I love you Mom. In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held, but tributes may be shared on the obituaries page at http://www.HansenMortuary.com. In lieu of flowers, please forward donations to The Highlands Center of Natural History - http://www.highlandscenter.org/ or, better yet, volunteer for something meaningful to you in her name."
