In loving memory of

Robin Newman

Robin Dutko Newman, 56, passed away on Good Friday, April 3, 2015 with her family by her side. Robin was born in Granite City, IL on July 17, 1958, and grew up in Madison, IL, graduating from Madison Senior High School in 1976. Robin played in the high school band and participated in various intramural sports. She attended Eastern Illinois University, in Charleston, IL and pledged Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority. In July 1978, she married Tom Newman and Robin, Tom and Hayley moved to Arizona in 1988. She held various positions with Union Electric, the restaurant industry, and homemaker - her favorite. The past several years, she tended to the health care needs of her parents. Robin took great pride in everything she did. She loved working outdoors, re-purposing household items, taking on projects at her daughter Hayley's home, and was a great hostess for the family's Christmas Eve gathering. Preceding her in death are her mother Sara Dutko, and brother Frank Dutko. She is survived by her husband Tom Newman, formerly of Granite City, IL, daughter Hayley Newman, her father Frank Dutko, sisters Cindy Altman (Steve), Kelly Pinnell (Rob), Becky Dutko, and adopted sister Cindy Baczewski (Dave), God-child, Robyn Greene Riley, God-father, Meddie Mullen as well as many nieces and nephews, family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 2:30pm at the residence of Cindy Baczewski and Dave Sciotto. A Celebration of Life gathering will take place immediately following, from 3-6pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org/donate in memory of Robin Newman.

"Frank, Cindy, Kelly, Becky: Just heard the obit and can\'t believe it. So sorry for all your losses. I know you\'ve all been thru so much. If any comfort, I think of Sara every day and miss her; we had such good times together. Sorry also i did not know of brother, Frankie. That too is so hard for me to comprehend. But the best part is the good memories we have of all of them I am so sad to hear of Robin, I\'ll always remember all of you and how much you loved your family."
