Daniel Beres

Jim Beres of Phoenix, AZ passed away on January 2nd, 2016 at 11:45am at the age of 79.  He was born on December 17th, 1936 in Barberton, OH to Louis and Judith (Nemeth) Beres, who have preceded him in death. Jim met and married the love of his life, his devoted wife of 54 years, Lois (Bauman) Beres of Rittman, OH. He is survived by his wife, Lois, and 3 children: Jill (Todd) Roth, Lex (Kimberly) Beres, and Willow (George) Gramm. He has 6 precious grandchildren: Tarah (Roth) Eland, Kent Roth, Victoria (Roth) King, Mya Gramm, Travis Gramm, and Brox Beres. He also has 2 darling great-granddaughters: Adeline and River Eland. Jim's brother, John Beres, preceded him in death. His surviving siblings are Robert Beres, Eleanor Prieger-Hill, Louis Beres, and Betty Ann Dolfen. Jim was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church for 50 years. He expressed tremendous gratitude for his church family due to their faithful love, kindness and prayers. Jim was a mason contractor who took pleasure in work and always made it fun for those who worked with him.  He enjoyed volunteering his building skills on various church projects. He also volunteered for Hospice of the Valley. Throughout Jim's life, one of his favorite hobbies was caring for and raising animals. For the past 24 years, he developed and managed the Dove Creek Elk Ranch in Colorado. He acquired many friendships through this endeavor. Jim also had a true love for others. He had an outgoing personality and could always get someone to smile. His children and grandchildren will miss him dearly. He was known as "Grandpa" to lots of children. Jim had so many dear, lifelong friendships and lived a full life, filled with lots of adventures. Jim had a very positive outlook on life, even during his lengthy battle with cancer. Visitation will be on Monday, January 4th at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary at 6500 E Bell Rd in Scottsdale from 5:00-8:00pm.  Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 5th at 10:00am at Apostolic Christian Church 9230 N 26th St in Phoenix. Donations may be made in Jim's memory to Serenity House (a Hospice facility), located at 4122 N 17th St, Phoenix, AZ  85016.

"To jims family,you have my deepest sympathies for his passing my thoughts and prayers are with the family.jim and I go back to 40 and 50 s I was a contractor same as Jim started out as mason contractor then built over 300 homes around doylestown and surrounding areas.
