"Sending prayers for your family. I am a classmate and I did get to connect with Jerry at the 50th reunion in Huron."
"To the family of Jerry Kouf, Jerry was a member of the Huron, (SD), High School Band. I have a vivid mental picture of Jerry with his horn, dressed in his high school band uniform, getting ready to 'step off' to play for a parade in Huron. He really looked sharp! Jerry was a great guy and I feel grateful to have seen and spent time with him with other Huron High School friends a couple years ago in Arizona. May you feel comfort in knowing that Jerry had many friends that share your loss during this very sad time. A Classmate, Lowell Arwood"
"I send you my deepest sympathy. Jerry was a good man."

"To my sisters and brother from another mother, Angie, Nique and Jay, Our dad was immensely proud of you all! I am very happy to have gotten to know you as adults, and I see that his pride in you is well-earned. Dad always brought pictures of you to show off on his visits with us, and when the grandkids came along, pictures and pride multiplied! He recognized each of you for your individual strengths and unique characteristics, and treasured you and your families. I am grateful for all the kindness, love and attention you gave our dad as he grew older. I hope you are all in a place of peace, comforted by those around you. See you on Saturday. Love, Kim"
