Josephine (Josie) Romero passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at the age of 93.
Josie was born in Los Angeles on September 27, 1924. She was one of four children born to Teresa and Fernando Franco.
Josie spent most of her childhood in Southern California, where she met Edward (Eddie) Romero at the young age of 14. This would be a loving relationship that lasted a lifetime.
Eddie and Josie married at age 18 and two years later began their family of five children. They were married for over 62 years before Eddie passed August of 2005. Their family grew to include twelve grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren and it continues to grow and thrive today.
Our precious matriarch led her close and loving family with her example of beauty, grace, kindness, faith and selflessness. She was an inspiration to us all.
She was a dearly beloved mother, mother in law, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was our angel on earth. We are comforted knowing she Is now in heaven with our Lord and our Dad.
We will celebrate Josie's life with a Rosary on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 7pm and a Catholic Chapel service on Wednesday, November 22 at 10a.m.
Both will take place at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary Chapel, 6500 East Bell Road, Scottsdale, AZ.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America at alzfdn.org
