In loving memory of

Mary Irwin

Mary Patricia Irwin, 57, of Fountain Hills passed away November 14, 2019.  She was born November 21, 1961 in Iowa City, Iowa to Bernard and Mary (Marron) Irwin. She graduated from West High School in 1980 and Kirkwood Community College with an Associate Degree in Nursing in 1985.  For the next ten years Mary loved her life as a Travel Nurse.  She was always up for a new assignment and the challenges they brought.  Mary settled in Phoenix/Fountain Hills to be near family and continued her excellent nursing career in the valley.  It is here she welcomed her beautiful daughter, Brigid Rose with her partner, Todd Kunkel.  Mary is preceded in death by her parents.  She leaves behind her daughter, Brigid Irwin, siblings Maureen (Patrick) Walz of Phoenix, Timothy (Kris) Irwin of New Berlin, WI, Thomas (Alice) Irwin of Peoria, AZ and Tracy (Shelly) Irwin of Baxter, IA as well as MANY cousins, nieces and nephews.  Mary loved being a bedside nurse, fostering dogs, being outside, cheering for her Iowa Hawkeyes and most of all spending time with her family.
A memorial service will be held at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary on Friday, December 27th at 1:00 pm.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to http://www.luvofdogz.org/  in her honor.
