Lana Koren

Lana Koren (Kessler), 62, of Cave Creek, Arizona, passed away on December 30, 2016. Lana is preceded in death by her father, Lester Kessler and great niece, Toni Rogers.

She is survived by her loving husband Joe Koren, Mother Bernice Kessler of Phoenix, Mother-in-law Ann Koren, of Scottsdale, sister and best friend Renay Kessler, Overland park, KS, brother, Gregory Kessler (Diana) Lee's Summit, MO, niece's Lyndsey & Samantha Agron, Overland Park, KS, Sherrie Rogers, Lebanon, MO, Caitlyn Poindexter, Blue Springs, MO, Katen Koren Mccully, Pitman, NJ, Nephew Derek Poindexter, Blue Springs, MO, sister in law Connie Koren of Phoenix and many cousins and extended family.

Originally from Overland Park, KS, a Baker University graduate, Lana was a long time Arizona resident. Lana endured years of treatments to beat lymphoma and many more years dealing with complications thereof. Lana's large personality and a willingness to always help others will be sorely missed by family and friends.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses that cared for Lana. Dr. Fitch and Dr. Palmer, mayo clinic, Pueblo Norte nursing home, Sherman Home Hospice of the Valley and also the many family and friends that gave Lana their love and support through the years.

A special thanks to her "Be the Match" donor, Erin for the additional 6 years of life she gave Lana. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to: leukemia & lymphoma society or bethematch.org.
