In loving memory of

Christine E. Jordan

Christine E. Jordan, 54, died Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at her home in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Christine was preceded in death by her parents, James and Judith Jordan. She is survived by her sister, Rene Pozzi and her niece, Amanda Pozzi. She is further survived by her aunts and uncles and their families, Rene Snyder, Michael Jordan and David and Judith Jordan.

Christine began her career in aviation with Republic Airlines and Northwest Airlines in 1986; she made her mark in management roles where she could focus on cabin safety and training. Taking her passion a step further, she joined the FAA as a Cabin Safety Inspector where she spent nearly 20 years promoting and supporting aviation safety. A compelling public speaker, her quick wit and command of the subject held any audience captive for her message. As much as she loved her work, she treasured her family and friends. Each exchange with a friend was meaningful, each gathering of loved ones was an event made special by her ability to plan it to every last detail and "scrapbook" it - archived in perfect memory. Christine is lovingly remembered by so many and will be in our hearts forever.

Memorial service will be held at the Hansen Desert Hill Mortuary and Cemetery (6500 E. Bell Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85254) at noon on Friday, December 1, 2017.

" I lost touch w Chris many years ago. I have fond memories of her during the Germantown Tn / Memphis State / Graceland days and it is with much sadness by learning this 2yr+ old news. Apparently (after reading the wonderful tributes here) she lived the life she only dreamed about (as a young woman) and touch many lives along the way. ( I knew you always would.) "Am I just learning of my dear friends and former roommate's passing today. Over 2 years later. Oh how saddened I am that we lost touch after I left NWA to start a family and a new career. Chris was my dearest roommate in DTW when we both went through initial training at Republic Airlines. My heart is broken. I'm sad that I lost all those years. She was a truly warm hearted person. I am sorry to hear of her parents' passing as well. They were so gracious when I stayed with them in LA. Oh the fond memories of our life in DTW and being stewardess. God speed my dear. You are missed. Love you."

"I am only hearing now of Christine?s passing. She spoke to my new hire classes. She was an entertainer and the students were mesmerized. Many were inspired to rise to the top of their career because of Christine?s influence. I was a great admirer. She touched many through her tenure. May she remain in peace."

Jay Dombrowski wrote on Nov 9, 2017:

"Christine?s impact on her family and the aviation safety industry is very well known. However there is another aspect of her career worth mentioning. Christine started working at Northwest Airlines back when aviation security was becoming a profession in its own right. It was at this time that airline management as well as law enforcement agencies, including the FBI strived to learn more about airline operations in particular cabin operations and security. Many of those people found the knowledge they sought in classes taught by Christine (and her coworker Jill). I was one of those people and the spark ignited by her enthusiasm and wealth of knowledge she conveyed has stayed with me over many decades in the industry. As I and others in the industry grapple with how to ensure a secure civil aviation system in today?s world of global threats, the answer seems obvious: get more people like Christine. Alas there was only one. Rest in peace Christine You did more for my life and career than you even knew and I have not forgotten it."

Audrey laying down on the floor playing while we went through all your scrapbooks. I will always treasure the old children?s books you gave Audrey and the wisdom and lessons I learned from you which I carry with me everyday throughout my aviation career. I?ll continue to make you proud, Audrey will know of Aunty Christine?s wit and humor and the bad ass woman you became throughout your aviation career.
